EPB Group Bhd recorded a revenue of RM38.48 million for its third quarter ended Dec 31, 2024 (3Q24), an increase of 82.13%, compared to RM21.13 million recorded in 2Q24.
The surge was driven by higher customer order deliveries in the food processing and packaging machinery solutions segment and increased orders in the flexible packaging materials business.
For the nine months ended Sept 30, 2024 (9M24), EPB achieved a total revenue of RM77.69 million.
The group's profit before tax and profit after tax for the 9M24 stood at RM12.17 million and RM9.71 million, respectively, before taking into account the one-off expenses of approximately RM2.71 million incurred to the listing exercise.
EPB Managing Director Yeoh Chee Min said with a robust order book of RM80.7 million as of Oct 31, 2024, the group is confident of sustaining its momentum and driving long-term growth.
He revealed that the group's wholly owned subsidiary, Easy Pack Machinery Sdn Bhd, has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Penang Development Corp on Sept 23, 2024, to acquire a 3.17ha industrial land parcel in Penang Science Park North for RM22.49 million.
"The land will support the construction of a new factory, corporate office, warehouse and showroom, which will significantly enhance the group's production capacity, expanding its robotics offerings and enabling it to meet the growing demand for food processing and packaging machinery.
"The acquisition is expected to be completed by the second half of 2025," Yeoh said.
Looking forward, Yeoh said EPB remains optimistic about its prospects for the remainder of 2024 as the completion of ongoing projects and the fulfilment of its strong order book are expected to contribute positively to the group's overall performance for the year.
