According to the Wise Wealth APP, ALCO HOLDINGS (00328) announced that it expects the group to incur a loss of approximately 20 million Hong Kong dollars to 30 million Hong Kong dollars for the six months ended September 30, 2024, while a profit of approximately 0.572 billion Hong Kong dollars was made for the six months ended September 30, 2023.

The group's expected loss for this period is mainly due to: (i) gaining a profit of approximately 0.613 billion Hong Kong dollars from the cancellation and consolidation of subsidiary companies for the six months ended September 30, 2023, while a profit of approximately 2 million Hong Kong dollars was realized in this period; and (ii) a decrease in revenue for this period, attributed to the slowdown of the domestic economy and intense competition in the electronic product market.
