After in-depth investigations by public security agencies in multiple locations, multiple individuals deliberately creating and spreading rumors have been swiftly identified and controlled, and currently related personnel have been lawfully detained by public security agencies.

NIO stated that it will continue to cooperate with public security agencies in the investigation, not ruling out initiating lawsuits against relevant individuals to protect its own legitimate rights and interests.

Recently, rumors online about BYD (01211.HK) acquiring NIO automobiles surfaced. The Hefei Public Security Bureau stated last night that the rumor was created by a 29-year-old man surnamed Xie, who used AI software to fabricate false images and text to increase the popularity of his social media account and attract traffic. The rumor-monger has been administratively detained by the authorities.
