Today's growth market saw a small rebound in the TOPIX Growth Market Index and TOPIX Growth Market 250 Index, with 251 gaining stocks, 278 declining stocks, and 58 unchanged.
Today's growth market saw a mixed trend in trading. The U.S. market on the 27th was soft as it opened near record highs due to caution about high prices. Although the Dow initially rose in response to some retail companies' good earnings, concerns about the impact of additional tariff measures planned by future President Trump on the economy and corporate performance led to selling pressure and a downturn. Nasdaq trended soft throughout the day as excessive expectations for artificial intelligence (AI) emerged, with declines in the tech sector weighing on the index.
While glancing at the U.S. stock market where major stock price indices all fell, the TOPIX Growth Market Index made a rebound at the start. It initially expanded gains in the morning, but quickly retreated as selling widened, leading to a fall into the negative territory. It later resurfaced in the positive territory, but the gains were limited, resulting in a standoff near the previous day's closing price. Active trading was restrained due to Thanksgiving Week, but before 11 a.m., news that the U.S. government plans to impose additional but less severe semiconductor regulations on China boosted some semiconductor stocks in the main board market, improving individual investor sentiment. However, while the Nikkei Average rebounded, the emerging markets were somewhat sidelined, with the index's gains being limited.
