On November 28th, Gelonghui reported that auto manufacturer Stellantis announced on Wednesday that due to the continued poor sales of the Fiat 500 electric vehicle, its production plant in Mirafiori, Turin, Italy will suspend operations again from December 2 to January 5. Stellantis stated in a press release that the suspension is due to persistent uncertainty in the sales of electric vehicles in several european markets and luxury vehicles in some non-european countries, such as china and usa. The manufacturer has informed the union that the factory will halt assembly operations from December 2 to December 17, and it has also previously agreed to close the factory during the year-end holiday period from December 18 to January 5.
