On November 28th, Glonhui reported that the Financial Stability Board recently released the list of Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs) for 2024. The list shows that a total of 29 banks have been selected as global systemically important banks, the same as the 2023 list, but there have been some changes in the bank's grouping, largely reflecting changes in the banks' core business activities. Specifically, the fifth group (the highest group) is vacant; the fourth group consists of jpmorgan; the third group includes citigroup, hsbc; the second group includes agriculture bank of china, bank of america, bank of china, barclays, bnp paribas, china construction banks, deutsche bank, goldman sachs, crédit agricole, industrial bank of china, mitsubishi ufj financial group, ubs group; the first group includes bank of communications, bank of new york mellon, groupe bpce, ing groep, mizuho financial group, morgan stanley, royal bank of canada, banco santander, crédit agricole, standard chartered bank, state street, sumitomo mitsui financial group, the toronto-dominion bank, wells fargo & co.
