The latest report from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology shows that in October 2024, the smartphone shipment volume in the mainland market reached 29.674 million units, representing a year-on-year growth of 1.8%. Among these, 5G smartphones accounted for 26.722 million units, with a year-on-year growth of 1.1%, making up 90.1% of the total smartphone shipments during the same period.

In the first ten months of this year, the smartphone shipment volume in the mainland market was 0.25 billion units, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 8.9%. Among these, 5G smartphones accounted for 0.214 billion units, which is a year-on-year growth of 13.6%, constituting 85.5% of the total smartphone shipments during the same period.
