Guobo Electronics Chairman Mei Bin stated at today's (November 26) earnings conference.

Guobo Electronics' main business involves research and development, production, and sales of active phased array T/R components and RF integrated circuit-related products. In the third quarter of this year, the company achieved revenue of 0.511 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 43.51%; net income attributable to the parent company was 61.8533 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 56.28%.

According to the latest annual report, Guobo Electronics' revenue from T/R components and RF module accounted for 89.77%. Regarding the decline in revenue from the main business, Guobo Electronics General Manager Wu Liqun told《Star Market Daily》reporter that the company is actively exploring new markets.

"In the T/R component field, relying on the technological advantages in the microwave millimeter-wave design field and the long-term accumulation of manufacturing processes, the company has made progress in various application platforms. The company has conducted technical research and product development in the field of low-orbit satellites and commercial aerospace, and multiple products have been delivered to customers," Wu Liqun said at the earnings conference.

Many communication companies have indicated a slowdown in 5G construction this year. Most operators have also stated a reduction in 5G investments.

Guobo Electronics General Manager Wu Liqun replied to《Star Market Daily》reporter's question, stating that due to the slowdown in 5G base station investments, the demand for RF modules has also shown a downward trend.

But Wu Liqun remains bullish on the future RF device market. He stated that as the new generation of mobile communication technology continues to evolve, the commercial deployment of 5G networks progresses, and the commercial landing of 5G-A sense-integrated base stations, it will further drive the development of RF integrated circuit industry, and the demand for RF devices may significantly increase as a result.

National Expo Electronics Chairman Mei Bin supplemented at the earnings conference that for the application of 5G-A sensing base stations, product performance optimization is being carried out. Multiple RF integrated circuits have been applied in 5G-A sensing integrated base stations, bulk supply of high-linearity control components for next-generation intelligent antennas for base stations, and continuous product iteration development and new product research and development in response to the development needs of 5G-A communication.

Regarding the research and development progress, Mei Bin stated that in response to the development trend of the new generation of communication, the company continues to carry out research and development of new generation communication technologies. It has already conducted product development work on multiple RF integrated circuits in the satellite communication field, and several products have been introduced by customers.

In addition, Wu Liqun also disclosed the future plans for other businesses at the earnings conference. In the field of RF integrated circuits, in the next two quarters, continuous efforts will be made to break through GaN RF module technology and new product releases, improving the performance of products such as linearity and efficiency; steady progress is being made in the series development of terminal RF chip new products, continuously expanding product categories.
