The CEO of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Teo Eng Dih, and Deputy CEO Kenneth Lim visited japan and on November 25th, toured the Nagaoka factory (Niigata Prefecture) of TB Global Technologies Co., Ltd. (TBG), with whom we are jointly developing ammonia fuel supply equipment. On the same day, they also visited our ammonia fuel tugboat "Sakai," which is currently undergoing demonstration sailing in Tokyo Bay, and inspected the ammonia fuel engine and related equipment.

In July of this year, we and MPA signed a Memorandum of Understanding aiming for sustainable development of the maritime industry in Singapore, and we have agreed to positively work on promoting the use of low-carbon ammonia as marine fuel, including bunkering vessels operating in Singapore Bay, and to consider training programs for crew members of ammonia fuel ships.
The MPA CEO and Deputy CEO inspected the "bunkering boom" planned for installation on our ammonia bunkering vessel, which is under development. The bunkering boom, co-developed by us and TBG, adopts TBG's technology that minimizes the risk of ammonia leakage to ensure safe supply between vessels.
During the visit to the ammonia fuel tugboat "Sakai," the ammonia fuel engine and related equipment were inspected. This vessel was co-developed by us and IHI Corporation, receiving public funding from NEDO's Green Innovation Fund project, and was completed in August. It is currently engaged in tugboat operations in Tokyo Bay while conducting a three-month demonstration sailing as the world's first ammonia fuel commercial vessel. Numerous safety designs for using ammonia as a marine fuel have been incorporated, and it is expected to contribute to the popularization and expansion of the use of ammonia fuel on vessels, including bunkering ships.
We plan to deploy ammonia bunkering vessels to major bunkering ports both domestically and internationally, including Singapore, and operate the business. By utilizing the knowledge and technology gained through research and development of ammonia fuel vessels and ammonia fuel supply equipment, we will continue to work with MPA on various initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of the maritime industry.
