
Eastern & Oriental Berhad announced its second quarter results for the period recording a revenue of RM171.0 million, representing a 38.0% increase compared to RM123.9 million in the corresponding quarter last year. This growth was largely attributed to revenue recognition from the newly launched The Lume, as well as other ongoing development projects, The Meg, Fera, and Senna. Profit after tax rose 7.0% from RM31.4 million to RM33.6 million.
For the cumulative six-month period ("1HFYE2025"), the Group's PAT increased by 9.2%, year on year, to RM74.6 million, on the back of a 60.9% surge in revenue to RM336.7 million. The properties segment remained the largest contributor, with an 80.6% increase in revenue to RM284.2 million, while the hospitality segment recorded a revenue of RM49.3 million, mainly driven by elevated average room rates and occupancy rates.
As of 30 September 2024, joint venture projects, including Conlay, The Peak, and Avira Garden Terraces, recorded RM232.5 million in total revenue, reflecting a 93.4% increase from the same period last year. With this contribution, the Group's properties segment achieved an aggregate revenue of RM516.7 million, up from RM277.6 million in the previous year.
The Board of Directors has proposed a special dividend of 1.0 sen per share for the financial year ending 31 March 2025. Details on the entitlement and payment dates will be announced in due course.
