American Express (AXP.US)旗下's global business travel group (Amex GBT) expects that global airfare prices will rise next year. Most routes will see an increase, with the largest rise in economy class fares in Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, possibly reaching 14%. In North America and Europe, the increase is expected to be slight, around 2%. The group states that the main reasons for the price increase include rising wage costs, fuel price hikes under geopolitical tensions, and delays in aircraft deliveries.

The group also anticipates that business class fares will increase, particularly on routes between Europe and Asia, with an expected rise of 8.2%. Australia follows with an expected increase of 7.8%, and routes between Europe and the Middle East are also projected to see a 6.8% rise.
