「Sustainability部門」受賞の様子当社の連結子会社である東洋製罐株式会社（本社：東京都品川区、代表取締役社長：本多正憲、以下「東洋製罐」）は、株式会社ＵＡＣＪ（本社：東京都千代田区、代表取締役：田中信二、以下「ＵＡＣＪ」）と共同で開発した、温室効果ガス（以下「GHG」）排出量を現行品に比べて約4割削減したアルミ飲料缶蓋「EcoEndTM」について、The Canmaker Magazineが主催する「The Canmaker Cans of the Year Awards 2024」※1において、「Ends, Caps & Closures部門」金賞、「Sustainability部門」※2、「Delegates’ Choice」※3の3つの賞を受賞しました。 今後も環境負荷の低減に大きく寄与する製品・サービスの開発と提供を通じ、環境への貢献と持続可能な社会の実現に貢献していきます。

[Product Overview]
"EcoEnd" is a next-generation product that significantly reduces GHG emissions while achieving performance equivalent to traditional can lids. Traditional can lids use a large amount of new metal, and during their manufacturing process, a substantial amount of GHG is emitted. In contrast, "EcoEnd" increases the proportion of recycled materials, such as used beverage cans (UBC), making it possible to reduce GHG emissions by about 40% compared to traditional can lids and greatly decrease the environmental impact.
