Through this initiative, we aim to significantly reduce transportation time and volume by trucking to achieve a 79% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Tsuchiya Logistics has been considering competitive alternative transportation to secure stable transportation capacity from production factories to inventory bases. We have previously conducted freight rail transport using 12ft containers, but to further improve loading efficiency, we introduced two 31ft private containers. This is expected to facilitate transportation of 840 tons annually (equivalent to 168 units of 31ft containers) across the three transport segments currently planned.
Furthermore, this initiative has received project certification based on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Logistics Efficiency Act" and is recognized as an eligible project for the "Modal Shift Acceleration Emergency Measures Project."
In the future, our group will continue to promote the efficiency of logistics and work towards proactive measures against the "Logistics 2024 Problem" and reducing environmental impact, thereby ensuring the stability of the supply chain.
