Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated last weekend that the next major update for the FSD software will be "coming soon." Meanwhile, Tesla is offering new discounts for the Model Y in china for its year-end promotions.
Back in September, Tesla's AI team posted on Musk's X platform that the goal was to release FSD v13 by the end of October. In late October, the team indicated their aim was to launch the latest FSD v13 before Thanksgiving.
On Saturday evening local time, Musk stated on X that FSD v13 will be "coming soon," but did not reveal specific details.
Tesla and Musk's timelines are often delayed, especially regarding the FSD software.
For nearly a decade, Musk has claimed that Tesla would achieve self-driving "this year" or "next year," recently expressing that by mid-2025, FSD will be running without supervision in Texas and California.
Reportedly, the transition team of elected President Trump aims to establish a framework for federal autonomous driving regulations, which Musk, a supporter and advisor of Trump, has called for. Investors believe that this paves the way for Tesla's robotaxi. However, Tesla's FSD still has a long way to go before achieving true self-driving.
