On November 25, according to a Reuters report citing an internal memorandum, the head of walmart's health and wellness division, valued at $55 billion, is set to depart. Brian Setzer has served as the executive vice president of this division since February 2023, which accounts for approximately 12.4% of walmart's sales in the usa. Kyle Kinnard, who currently leads walmart's community market division in the usa, will succeed Setzer. Six months ago, walmart decided to close all 51 of its medical clinics in the usa and halt its virtual medical business due to a lack of profitability. Currently, walmart is focused on expanding its network of 4,600 pharmacies and 3,000 vision centers in the usa, aiming to cross-sell pharmaceuticals, including GLP-1 drugs, while selling inexpensive groceries.
