Datasonic Appoints Ex-Public Service DG, Tan Sri Dato Khairul As Board Member

Datasonic Berhad has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Dato Seri Mohd Khairul Adib the former DG of Public Service as the group's independent non-executive director with immediate effect.

Tan Sri Dato Seri Mohd Khairul Adib last served as the Director-General of Public Service before retiring from the Malaysian Civil Service in January 2022. Prior to that, he was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport. Tan Sri Dato Seri Mohd Khairul Adib began his career in the civil service in 1988 and has served various ministries over the period spanning 34 years including at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, Ministry of Education and Malaysian missions in Tokyo and London.

He has served on various Boards including Employees Provident Fund, Inland Revenue Board, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan), MAVCOM and Prasarana Malaysia Berhad.

In January 2022, Tan Sri Dato Seri Mohd Khairul Adib was conferred the Japanese Decoration, The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star by the Emperor of Japan. He currently holds esteemed positions as the Chairman of Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), MMAG Holdings Berhad and Ingenieur Gudang Berhad. He also serves on the Board of Westports Holdings Berhad. In addition to these pivotal roles, Tan Sri Adib holds key positions in several distinguished private companies, including Daiso Group Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Ahli Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) and others.
