Brother Industries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, President: Kazufumi Ikeda) has been selected for the first time for the "Sympathy!" IR Award at the "IR Excellent Company Award 2024" organized by the Japan Investor Relations Association.

The "Sympathy!" IR Award was newly established in 2020 to share each company's proactive IR activities and aim for the realization of best practices, marking the 25th anniversary of the IR Excellent Company Awards. The theme for 2024 is "Efforts to Narrow the Distance Between Management and Investors," and from the 220 companies that applied for the Excellent Company Award in 2024, the top 18 were selected through mutual voting by those who entered the "Sympathy!" IR Award, including our company.

To deepen engagement with capital markets, we held a "Discussion with Institutional Investors and Outside Directors" as part of our integrated report planning. All five of our outside directors participated, and we had an honest exchange of opinions regarding the progress and challenges of our strategies and measures, responding to questions from institutional investors. The content of this dialogue is included in the 2023 edition of the integrated report and on our company website*. In this selection process, we received significant sympathy from applicant companies for this initiative, leading to this award.
