Consolidate and expand the achievements of the fight against poverty and help comprehensively promote rural revitalization. On November 22, China Ping An Helping Chongqing Rural Revitalization Research and the “Sow a Good Year Together” live broadcast event to help farmers was held in Chengkou County, Chongqing. At the event, Ping An Insurance signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chengkou County People's Government, which will give full play to the resource advantages of “comprehensive finance+medical care and pension” to help revitalize and develop rural areas in Chengkou County, focusing on the four aspects of promoting online sales of agricultural specialty products and Chinese herbal medicines, rural revitalization, cultural tourism promotion, and project financing. Huang Baoxin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Ping An Group, and relevant officials from Ping An Industrial Insurance, Ping An Pension Insurance, Ping An Health Insurance and other agencies under the Chongqing Regional Management Party Committee of Ping An Group participated in the research activities.
According to reports, during this research activity, the research team not only visited lacquerware and specialty agricultural products enterprises in Chengkou County to learn about the revitalization and development of the local rural industry. Huang Baoxin also specially visited the site of the “Share a Safe and Successful Year” live broadcast to “call” Chengkou County's specialty agricultural products, sample and interact with agricultural aid anchors, and promote the specialty agricultural products, customs, and cultural features of Chengkou County to live broadcast users. He said that Ping An of China is promoting 100 live broadcasts to help farmers across the country, mainly to support “brand” specialty agricultural products, bring local “souvenirs” to the whole country, show the development achievements of the “three rural areas” and the beautiful prospects of agricultural and rural modernization from multiple perspectives, and help increase farmers' income.
According to the strategic cooperation agreement between Ping An Insurance and Chengkou County, in the next three years, Ping An Insurance Chongqing Branch will establish a consumer support mechanism with Chengkou County to help promote and sell high-quality Chinese herbal medicines and agricultural specialty products in Chengkou County; support rural revitalization and construction in Chengkou County, increase loans, financing and donations, and implement rural revitalization projects such as “Rural Culture 100” and “Revitalization Insurance” to provide special support to key development enterprises in the county; increase promotion and sales of cultural tourism routes and cultural tourism products in Chengkou County to help develop cultural tourism finance; to provide rural revitalization projects in need of financing in Chengkou County Targeted support. Chengkou County is located in the hinterland of Daba Mountain, at the northernmost tip of Chongqing, at the junction of Chongqing and Sichuan. It is an important part of the revolutionary base of Sichuan and Shaanxi. In 2021, it was designated as a key support county for rural revitalization in the country. Currently, Chengkou County is vigorously promoting transformation and development, accelerating the rise of green industries, and cultivating and expanding leading industries such as green food, green building materials, modern traditional Chinese medicine, and clean energy.
In recent years, Ping An of China has continued to promote rural revitalization and development in Chongqing through support in industry, finance, consumption, people's livelihood, and party building. According to statistics, as of the end of September 2024, Ping An of China had accumulated over 25 million yuan in consumer support for rural revitalization in Chongqing through direct procurement and online promotion platforms; implemented a “revitalization insurance” project to provide risk protection for characteristic industries; and invested 0.6 billion yuan in poverty alleviation loans for Chongqing Water Investment Group, subscribed 0.2 billion yuan of special bonds from the Chongqing Municipal Government, and had a balance of 2.515 billion yuan in agricultural loans. In terms of rural education, Ping An of China has donated 4 Ping An Hope Primary Schools in Chongqing, and continues to donate funds and materials to help Hope Elementary School improve teaching and living conditions. It has recruited 271 teaching volunteers, and the total teaching time is about 954 hours. In addition, Ping An of China has successively selected 14 village-based cadres who have been fully or semi-retired to go to 7 locations in the districts and counties of Wuxi, Wanzhou, Wulong, Fengdu, Xiushan, and Dianjiang under the administration of Chongqing to take root in the frontline of the village to carry out rural revitalization work.
Ping An of China said that in the future, it will adhere to the leadership of party building, adhere to the original mission of “finance for the people”, give full play to the resource advantages of finance, technology, medical care and pension, continue to innovate and help rural revitalization paths, and strive to write a safe chapter in the “Comprehensive Rural Revitalization” picture.
