The Finnish telecom giant nokia oyj signed a five-year agreement with microsoft's cloud computing service company Azure to provide networking for datacenters.

Nokia's datacenter switches will be installed at new sites and used to support microsoft's transition to 400GE connectivity in existing facilities. Overall, the agreement covers more than 30 countries, and nokia oyj stated that this strengthens its global position.

The financial terms of this agreement have not been disclosed.
