Cape EMS has informed that its Group Chief Financial Officer, Tan Zong Yuan 37, has resigned with immediate effect, the group has since appointed Leong Lup Yan 55 as the new CFO. The change at the group also comes after Cape EMS reported RM19 million in losses for the recently closed quarter, and slipping into the red for the first time since listing.

Tan Zong Yuan became the Chief Financial Officer of the Group on 27 December 2021. He is responsible for overseeing the Accounting and Finance Department, which includes financial planning, cash flow management, and financial reporting. He  holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) since 2020, and a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) since 2021

Prior to joining Cape EMS he was with Crescendo Corporation Berhad, he joined IFFCO (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as an associate manager and later moved to MJK Group Sdn Bhd in 2019 as a financial controller.

He assumed his role as Chief Financial Officer in our Company in 2021 and became the Group Chief Financial Officer in 2022. He does not hold directorship in any public companies and listed issuers.
