以上On December 2, 2024 (Monday), ACT FOR SKY will hold the "ACT FOR SKY Symposium - Pioneering the Future Sky, the forefront of domestically produced SAF" at Haneda Airport.
ACT FOR SKY is an all-Japan initiative aiming to achieve a carbon-neutral sky through the establishment and promotion of a domestic supply chain for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Starting with 16 participating companies in 2022, this initiative now has 45 companies and organizations actively involved. At the beginning of the fiscal year 2025 (scheduled), with the start of operation of Japan's first domestically produced SAF plant, we will further deepen the understanding of domestically produced SAF and share the latest updates and challenges, to support the activities of ACT FOR SKY members.
JAL, as a member of ACT FOR SKY, will continue to work on building and promoting the domestic supply chain of SAF while collaborating with stakeholders across the industry without barriers.
(*) SAF stands for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, which is fuel manufactured from recyclable materials to reduce the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions compared to fossil-derived jet fuel.

It is a valuable opportunity to learn about the latest updates and challenges of domestically produced SAF all at once under the theme "Pioneering the Future Sky with domestically produced SAF".
This time, 15 out of the 45 member companies and organizations of ACT FOR SKY will be making presentations.
