Gaming manufacturer Roblox (RBLX.US) announced on Monday plans to implement safety measures to prevent users under the age of 13 from messaging others directly without parental consent.
Roblox reported approximately 89 million users last quarter, and the platform stated that it will allow parents and caregivers to manage their children's Roblox accounts remotely, view friend lists, set spending controls, and manage screen time.
The company also stated that it has launched built-in settings to allow users under 13 to access public broadcasting messages only within gaming or experiences.
