Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENPH), a microinverter-based solar and battery system supplier, announced its first shipments of the U.S.-produced IQ Battery 5Ps.

These new units are expected to help solar projects qualify for the Domestic Content Bonus Credit, a tax incentive under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) designed to boost domestic manufacturing and promote clean energy.

The bonus credit targets commercial asset owners, including businesses installing solar systems and PPA/lease providers for residential projects. By incorporating Enphase's U.S.-made microinverters, batteries, and additional domestic racking equipment, these projects may become eligible for the tax benefit.

Recently, Enphase shipped IQ8HC Microinverters from U.S. facilities with higher domestic content. Both IQ Battery 5Ps and IQ8HC units had a "DOM" SKU, indicating domestic production.
