According to a report from Zhixin Finance APP, Byte meta (08645) announced that the group has been looking for suitable resources and personnel to provide technical support for enhancing the group's asset trade services' technology reserves and research and development level.

As disclosed in the company's announcements dated April 15, 2024, July 15, 2024, and September 16, 2024, the company entered into a memorandum of understanding on April 15, 2024, regarding a possible acquisition of a holding company registered in South Korea (the possible acquisition). However, before the final deadline (i.e., November 16, 2024), the relevant parties have not entered into a legally binding formal agreement regarding the possible acquisition, subsequently causing the memorandum of understanding to automatically expire on November 16, 2024, and no longer be effective (except for the provisions explicitly stated in the memorandum of understanding that remain in effect after expiration).

The board of directors believes that the expiration of the memorandum of understanding will not have any significant adverse impact on the group's business operations or financial condition. The group will continue to seek appropriate investment and/or acquisition targets and opportunities and will negotiate with potential business partners regarding this. The company will issue another announcement in due course to inform shareholders and potential investors of the latest business developments of the group.
