Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. will release the new electric assist bicycle "PAS ULU" for commuting on March 21, 2025.
"PAS ULU" was developed targeting high school students who use it for commuting and seek not only fashionable but also tough models, with the concept of being usable without effort. It features a stylish design suitable for both men and women, providing practical functionality ideal for daily commuting and long-distance use. Key features include: 1) a sturdy thick frame that gives a tough impression, 2) a wire basket that can hold heavy items and prevents them from falling out (load capacity of 5kg), 3) a rear carrier specifically designed for ULU, which is wide enough for easy placement of items, suitable for student usage scenarios. It is also equipped with a large fin-mounted rear roller foundation brake, which maintains braking performance even on long downhill slopes thanks to the operation of the large heat dissipation fins.
The color lineup includes four options: "Matte Khaki Green", which gives a casual yet tough impression by painting parts like fenders and carriers in matte black, "Matte Dusty Dark Blue" with a calm impression and subtle accents, "Matte Ecru" with a refined elegant impression, and "Matte Black 2", a standard color that can easily match any outfit.

The vehicle frame adopts a powerful new thick frame with a low center of gravity to give a tough impression. By moving heavy items like baskets and rear carriers towards the center of the vehicle, maneuverability has been stabilized. Equipped with wide 1.95-inch tires on both front and rear wheels, ideal for daily long-distance commuting. Not only does it emphasize a reliable and strong look, but also enhances safety and ease of handling, achieving a balance between design and functionality.

The wire basket, with its crank-shaped top, reduces the likelihood of items falling out during travel and reduces visual bulkiness. While the load capacity of the wire basket on other PAS models is 3kg, this model's wire basket is 5kg, allowing for easy transportation of heavy items for club activities.

By widening the rear carrier, it has become easier to load luggage. In addition, by placing the rear carrier at a higher position, it is easier to place the bottom of the backpack on the rear carrier when riding with the backpack on, reducing the weight of the shoulder load.
