According to media reports, Trump has added former Federal Reserve governor Kevin Warsh and billionaire Marc Rowan to his list of candidates for Treasury Secretary, further expanding the selection range.
The 54-year-old Warsh was an investment banker and served on the Federal Reserve Board from 2006 to 2011. He is viewed as a fiscal hawk and a supporter of increasing the savings rate.
The 62-year-old Rowan is a co-founder of Apollo Global Management, an investment management company, and became the CEO of the company in 2021.
