On November 15, Gelonghui reported that wai yuen tong (00897.HK) announced that the group expects to record a profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent company of approximately 3,500,000 HKD for the six months ended September 30, 2023 (including a loss attributable to the shareholders of the parent company of approximately 8,900,000 HKD from discontinued operations) to increase to not less than 20,000,000 HKD for the six months ending September 30, 2024.

The increase in profit is mainly due to the comprehensive impact of (i) fair value gains on investment properties, (ii) reversal of impairment losses on property, plant and equipment projects, and (iii) no losses attributable to the shareholders of the parent company from discontinued operations.
