The National Internet Information Office has released the "Mobile Internet Minor Mode Construction Guidelines," proposing an overall plan for the construction of the minor mode. It encourages and supports the participation of mobile asia vets terminals, applications, and application distribution platforms in the construction of the minor mode. The goal is to integrate scattered functions and establish a "three-line defense" for online protection of minors.
The "Guidelines" propose that under the minor mode, mobile asia vets terminals, applications, and application distribution platforms should achieve necessary linkage, offering functions such as time management, content management, and permission management for minors. Among them, concerning the improvement of function restrictions, it is proposed that products and services that may induce addiction should not be provided to minors, and online education products and services aimed at minors should not insert links to online games. Online games should implement measures to prevent addiction according to national regulations and standards, avoiding minors from being exposed to game content or functions that may impact their physical and mental health.
The "Guidelines" also propose time management; under the minor mode, when minor users continuously use mobile asia vets terminals for over 30 minutes, the mobile asia vets terminal should issue a rest reminder. The mobile asia vets terminal is preset not to provide services to minors from 10 PM to 6 AM the next day, while also providing an exemption operation for parents.
