Ramaswamy believes that the government efficiency department can allow more of the "smartest and most ambitious graduates" to work in the government for a period of time instead of rushing to Silicon Valley and Wall Street. This would be a good thing.

While supporting Trump's presidential campaign, Musk advocated for cutting $2 trillion in federal spending. He recently stated that there are plans to streamline the 428 existing federal institutions in the usa to just 99. At that time, he pointed out that many federal institutions are unfamiliar to the public, and some cannot even understand the necessity of their existence.
