Forval <8275> announced on the 13th its consolidated financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April-September 2024). Revenue increased by 10.7% year-on-year to 33.839 billion yen, operating profit increased by 6.6% to 1.596 billion yen, ordinary profit increased by 2.6% to 1.699 billion yen, and net income attributable to the parent company's shareholders decreased by 13.0% to 0.82 billion yen.
The revenue of the Forval Business Group increased by 12.6% year-on-year to 17.464 billion yen, and segment profit increased by 26.8% to 1.099 billion yen. In addition to the steady performance of icon plc services, the increase in security and server-related services, as well as contributions from newly consolidated group companies, were noted.
The revenue of the Forval Telecom Business Group increased by 11.7% year-on-year to 12.452 billion yen, and segment profit increased by 11.2% to 0.564 billion yen. The electrical utilities service increased.
The revenue of the Comprehensive Environmental Consulting Business Group decreased by 5.4% year-on-year to 2.558 billion yen, and segment profit decreased by 49.3% to 0.032 billion yen. The photovoltaic technology systems and LEDs decreased.
The revenue from human capital management increased by 12.8% year-on-year to 1.365 billion yen, while segment profit decreased by 50.6% to 0.096 billion yen. Although contributions were made by newly consolidated group companies, the mainland education business, including seminars, decreased.
The company maintains its initial plan for the financial estimates for the fiscal year ending March 2025, with revenue increasing by 5.5% compared to the previous year to JPY 67 billion, operating profit increasing by 11.3% to JPY 3.6 billion, ordinary profit increasing by 7.0% to JPY 3.7 billion, and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders increasing by 4.4% to JPY 2.1 billion.
