The board of directors believes that the increase in net loss is mainly due to a fair value loss of approximately 7.5 million Hong Kong dollars on investments recognized at fair value through profit or loss and an impairment loss of approximately 8.5 million Hong Kong dollars on a receivable related to margin loan business.

Although the group may incur higher losses in this period compared to the corresponding period, the total income for this period has significantly increased compared to the corresponding period. Progress has been made in all business areas of the group during this period.
