Uber (UBER.US) announced that it will launch two new ride options, Uber Teens and UberXXL, in Hong Kong this month. Uber Teens is designed for teenagers and their parents or guardians, providing a safe and convenient ride option for teenagers traveling alone. UberXXL can accommodate up to 6 passengers, offering enough luggage space, suitable for large families or groups needing extra comfort and space when traveling.
Teenagers aged 13 to 17 need to register for an Uber Teens account and book trips with parental or guardian authorization. All Uber Teens trips will only be accepted by highly rated and experienced drivers to ensure trip safety, providing peace of mind for parents. Uber Teens is equipped with a range of safety features, including PIN verification, real-time location tracking, and RideCheck, which cannot be turned off by drivers or teenage users, allowing parents to have full control of trip information. Parents can view trip details instantly on the Uber App and receive updates during the journey. Uber Teens will be available on the Uber app starting November 27.
UberXXL offers larger vehicle options with spacious interiors, accommodating up to 6 passengers and providing extra space for 4 to 5 large luggage pieces, starting today (12th).
