TCS Group Holdings Berhad the main contractor via its wholly-owned subsidiary for the J.Satine mixed development project has issued a statement with regards to the suspension order issued by the KL city council, DBKL on the safety of its construction and the large explosion.
Its Managing Director Dato' Ir Tee Chai Seng said, "We are deeply concerned about the incident and we are working closely with the developer and consultants to determine the root cause. Thankfully, there were no casualties as a result of the incident. We want to reiterate that health and safety have always been paramount in our projects."
"We want to assure all stakeholders that we have adhered strictly to all health and safety standards and protocols throughout the construction process. The Group is cooperating fully with the relevant authorities in their investigation into the cause of the incident. Initial findings suggest that the building cracks are not caused by us."
"For all our projects, we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all involved and to delivering projects that meet the highest standards of quality and integrity," Dato' Ir Tee added.
The Setapak project is owned by Gadingan Jakel and is being constructed by TCS, DBKL has yet to lift the suspension after residents raised concerns over the developments safety.
