An Insider At Potbelly Lowered Their Holding Recently

Simply Wall St ·  Nov 9, 2024 22:05

Insiders were net sellers of Potbelly Corporation's (NASDAQ:PBPB ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders sold more stock than they bought.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Potbelly

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Christopher Woodruff, for US$977k worth of shares, at about US$10.25 per share. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of US$9.97. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern. Christopher Woodruff was the only individual insider to sell shares in the last twelve months.

Happily, we note that in the last year insiders paid US$77k for 7.96k shares. But they sold 98.05k shares for US$977k.
