Gold Peak (00040.HK) announced good earnings, expecting the attributable surplus to shareholders for the six months ending September 30, 2024 to be between 25 million and 28 million yuan, a significant increase from the mid-term attributable surplus to shareholders of 3.5 million yuan as of September 30, 2023. This is mainly due to the strong demand for the group's disposable batteries during the period, with sales in the first half of the fiscal year increasing to about 3.5 billion yuan, as well as the completion of the rebalancing of its manufacturing facilities in China and Southeast Asia, enhancing product portfolio and operational efficiency, increasing the gross margin from 27.4% in the same period last year to about 29.4% in the first half of the fiscal year, offset in part by increased expenses compared to the same period last year.
