On November 8, Falian News (Editor: Bian Chun) announced that President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday that one of his campaign managers, Susie Wells, will serve as White House Chief of Staff. Trump has entrusted this important position to the "great contributor" who helped him win the election.

It is worth noting that Susie Wells is the first cabinet member appointed by Trump. She will also be the first woman to serve as White House Chief of Staff.

Previously, when delivering his victory speech, Trump specifically thanked Susie Wells and invited her on stage to shake hands and show respect. Trump referred to her as "Mrs. Snow" because she "seems to prefer to stay behind the scenes."

Susie Wells, 67 years old this year, has been in American politics for over 40 years, advising Trump on three presidential campaigns and securing key victories for him twice.

Prior to Trump's selection of White House Chief of Staff, besides Wells, former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and Brook Rollins, the acting director of the US Domestic Policy Council during the Trump administration, were also popular candidates for this position.

Sources point out that as a long-time political strategist in Florida, Wells is considered trustworthy and praised for helping Trump successfully win the presidency.

White House Chiefs of Staff typically wield significant influence. They manage White House staff, schedule the President's time and agenda, and maintain contacts with other government departments and legislators. As such, the White House Chief of Staff is also known as the White House's "gatekeeper" and is one of the most important positions in the US government. This position is a political appointment, selected personally by the President of the USA and does not require Senate approval.

Since defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris on Tuesday to win the presidency, Trump has been staying at Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Four sources said Trump is considering a wide range of government senior officials, many of whom are familiar faces from his 2017-2021 presidency. Former US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell is one of the frontrunners for Secretary of State, having served as acting Intelligence Director in Trump's first term and recently meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky in New York. Former US Ambassador to Japan and Republican Senator Bill Hagerty is also among the frontrunners for this position.
