After Trump defeated Harris to win the US election, leaders of major technology companies in the USA rushed to congratulate. These CEOs expressed their hope that Trump will succeed upon returning to the White House and look forward to cooperating with his government.
Amazon founder and Executive Chairman Jeff Bezos posted on X to celebrate Trump's victory, calling it an "extraordinary political comeback and a decisive victory".
The relationship between Bezos and Trump has not been very good, often becoming a target during Trump's first term. Trump repeatedly targeted Bezos' ownership of the newspapers, Amazon's tax records, and its relationship with the US Postal Service. Bezos also once criticized Trump, writing in a social media post in 2015, 'send Trump to space'.
However, Bezos' recent tone has been more moderate and in July, he praised Trump's 'courage' when he narrowly escaped assassination at a rally in Pennsylvania. Bezos only made two posts on X this year, both mentioning Trump.
On the eve of the election day, Bezos and his newspaper were embroiled in controversy as the paper, for the first time in decades, chose not to endorse any candidate in the presidential election. Bezos defended this decision in a column in The Washington Post, stating that endorsements would create a 'sense of bias'.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg called Trump's election a 'decisive victory' and expressed his anticipation to collaborate with the Trump administration. 'As a country, we face tremendous opportunities,' Zuckerberg wrote in a post on Threads. Threads is a competitor of Meta and Elon Musk's X platform.
The relationship between Zuckerberg and Trump is also not very harmonious. In 2021, shortly after the Capitol riot on January 6th, Facebook imposed a two-year ban on Trump. In March of this year, Trump referred to Facebook as 'the real enemy of the people.'
Reportedly, in a book published in September, Trump claimed that Zuckerberg 'conspired' against him in the 2020 presidential election and stated that if Zuckerberg did it again, he might 'spend the rest of his life in jail.'
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla who strongly supported Trump in this election, unsurprisingly, cheered for Trump's victory. Musk has been a key ally of Trump in his bid for the White House, with the former president promising to appoint Musk as the chairman of the Government Efficiency Commission before his election. Musk also donated nearly $75 million to a super PAC he established earlier this year to support Trump. On Wednesday, Tesla's stock price rose significantly as investors optimistically believed that Trump's victory would benefit the auto manufacturer.
