According to a report cited by 36kr holdings, Wang Huiwen, co-founder of Meituan (03690.HK) and founder of Beyond Lightyears, has returned to Meituan to lead the exploration of AI applications with his AI team called GN06.

Public recruitment needs show that GN06's current main business directions include emotional companionship and chatbots, providing candidates with the "opportunity to try AI without boundaries", with product and operational roles overseen by Wang Huiwen.

It is reported that GN06 is directly managed by Wang Huiwen and does not belong to any particular business group. In addition, GN06 within Meituan is relatively independent, focusing on exploring directions beyond the main business, separate from the existing large model teams and AI teams in various business lines of Meituan. There are also reports that the recruitment demand of GN06 has significantly increased since this summer.

One of GN06's main products is the AI emotional companionship product Wow, launched in November last year. Users can customize character appearance, personality, and voice freely, interact in the AI community, and Wow is also Meituan's first independent product in the AI application field.
