GLONGHUI, November 6 | Chevron said on Tuesday it plans to expand exploration area in African oil producers such as Nigeria and Angola. Even though production has declined over the years, the company still sees potential for a recovery in production. Liz Schwarze, Group Vice President of Global Exploration, said that West Africa is a region rich in hydrocarbon resources in the world, but compared to other regions, exploration is relatively insufficient. Just as some of its peers are planning to quit, Chevron is adding multiple block exploration.
