GLONGHUI, November 6 | Boeing's main supplier Spirit AeroSystems warned on Tuesday that the company has “major doubts” about whether it can continue to operate. Last month, Spirit Aero said the company was draining its dwindling cash reserves due to ongoing strikes by Boeing workers. Spirit's cash balance as of the end of the third quarter of 2024 was $0.218 billion, according to an October document. The latest disclosure comes as Boeing seeks to resume production of its 737 MAX, after weeks of strike ended Monday night. Spirit Aero spokesman Joe Buccino said, “We reserve a range of options and instruments to address our financial and space limitations, and are working with our customers on these issues.”
