Chicago Nikkei 225 futures settlement price ended at 38,970 yen, 310 yen higher than Osaka daytime comparison.

The U.S. stock market rebounded. The Dow Jones rose by 427.28 points to 42,221.88, while the Nasdaq ended trading at 18,439.17, up 259.19 points. In the New York foreign exchange market on the 5th, the Dollar-Yen pair fell from 152.33 yen to 151.34 yen, closing at 151.54 yen. The unexpected improvement in the U.S. October ISM Non-Manufacturing Business Conditions Index led to a rise in long-term interest rates and a dominant buying of the dollar, followed by a strong selling of the dollar as the results of the 10-year bond auction were favorable and long-term interest rates struggled to rise. The Euro-Dollar pair rose from 1.0890 dollars to 1.0937 dollars, closing at 1.0925 dollars.

NY crude oil futures for December showed strength (NYMEX crude oil December closing price: 71.99, up 0.52).
