GLONGHUI, November 5 | GM will recall 107 Bolt EVs and EUV cars due to the risk of fire, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Tuesday. The scope of the recall includes previously repaired 2020-2022 Bolt cars. According to the US automobile safety regulator, the installation of advanced diagnostic software may malfunction, causing the battery to catch fire when fully charged or close to being fully charged. Regulators are advising affected car owners to limit charging to 90%, avoid running out of battery power to the remaining 70 miles, and not charge electric vehicles indoors all night.
