CyberTrust <4498> announced on the 30th that the 'iTrust e-Seal Certificate' has been adopted for the certificate online delivery function in the 'Certificate Issuance Service' provided by NTT West Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp <9432>.
The 'Certificate Issuance Service' is mainly used in the education market such as universities and research institutions to digitize documents like academic history certificates. The 'iTrust e-Seal Certificate' is issued by a certification authority that has obtained Trusted Service Registration from the Japan Information Economy Society Promotion Association (JIPDEC) and is listed in the Adobe-approved Root Certificate List (AATL). It is only provided to organizations that the company has reviewed, allowing verification of the authenticity and legitimacy of the issuing organization of electronic documents by applying e-Seals with the 'iTrust e-Seal Certificate'.
The 'Certificate Issuance Service', through the adoption of the 'iTrust e-Seal Certificate', can now provide certificates under the name of each educational institution. Users can easily confirm the issuing entity by attaching an e-Seal verified by the company, a third-party certification authority.
The company aims to ensure the credibility of various electronic documents and support the digitalization of business processes in companies and organizations.
