U.S.-listed Chinese EV startups Nio Inc. (NYSE:NIO), Li Auto Inc. (NASDAQ:LI), and XPeng Inc. (NYSE:XPEV) reported their October delivery numbers on Friday with Li Auto topping the three by a significant margin.
Li Auto Tops The Chart: Li Auto said on Friday that it delivered 51,443 vehicles in October, marking a 27.3% jump in sales year-over-year but a 4% drop from September when it delivered nearly 54,000 vehicles.
The rise in sales, Li Auto said, could be attributed to robust sales across its model lineup. The company also crossed the landmark of delivering over 1 million vehicles cumulatively in October.
XPeng Mona M03 Deliveries Exceed 10k Units: XPeng also witnessed its deliveries rise in October but couldn't keep up with Li Auto's pace. The company delivered 23,917 vehicles last month, marking an increase of 20% year-over-year and 12% from September.
The Guangzhou-based EV startup said that the company's deliveries of the XPENG MONA M03 hatchback coupe alone exceeded 10,000 units.
ONVO Spurs Nio Forward: Shanghai-based Nio, meanwhile, delivered 20,976 vehicles in October, including 16,657 NIO brand vehicles and 4,319 ONVO brand vehicles. This marks a near 1% dip from its September delivery numbers and a whopping 30.5% rise from its sales in October 2023.
Deliveries of the first ONVO vehicle – the ONVO L60 – commenced in late September, making October the first whole month of sales for the family-oriented EV brand.
