The exhibition of the indoor delivery service robot “FORRO (FORRO)” provided by Kawasaki Heavy Industries will begin in November at the “Executive Briefing Center” (hereafter, EBC), an experience-based facility with the latest solutions within the Takeshiba headquarters of SoftBank Corp. (hereafter, SoftBank).
EBC is an invitation-only facility with the concept of “a place to experience cutting-edge technology and take the first step in creating future businesses,” and it is a place for SoftBank and its customers to “discuss business growth” while experiencing various cutting-edge technologies. At the “FORRO” exhibition at EBC, visitors will be introduced to various functions, such as high autonomous driving performance, simple operation with a touch panel, and an easy-to-handle luggage compartment through an actual machine.
“FORRO” means “humans do things that only humans can do.” Based on the concept, it is a service robot that was born as one answer to the worsening labor shortage. Medical institutions in Japan are already providing indoor delivery services for specimens, drugs, etc. using “FORRO,” and from the viewpoint of reducing the burden on health care workers and improving work efficiency, they have received high praise from medical institutions for their ability and implementation effects.
Through this exhibition at EBC, more people will learn about “FORRO,” and we will continue to work to further expand the provision of delivery services using “FORRO,” aiming to solve social issues such as labor shortages and realize a society where values unique to humans can be demonstrated even more.
