JD.com (09618.HK) (JD.US) announced the establishment of a new automated warehouse in Poland under its Europe-wide retail brand Ochama, with the aim of enhancing business operations efficiency and customer experience in that region.

The new warehouse is located near the border of Poland and Germany, covering an area of approximately 0.027 million square meters, using a flexible goods-to-person system, with picking efficiency three times that of traditional operations. JD.com stated that with the new warehouse, Ochama in Poland can fulfill orders within 48 hours, with same-day delivery available for some orders, while the on-time delivery rate in Germany can also be increased to about 80%.

The group stated that in the first ten months of this year, Ochama's orders in Poland and Germany increased by 284% year-on-year, and the new warehouse, along with the other five warehouses distributed in the Netherlands and France, will collectively serve customers in 24 European countries.
