Regal Int'l Hotel (00078.HK) announced a collaboration with the Sustainable Technology Institutions to launch the 'Green Meetings' program, covering venues, dining services, and comprehensive eco-friendly initiatives, assisting meeting and event organizing institutions in achieving their sustainable development goals.

The group will prepare 'Carbon Emission Reports' for event and meeting organizing institutions, analyzing in detail the carbon emissions generated during events, covering seven major carbon footprint categories including production and materials, freight and logistics, dining, local transportation, energy, lodging, and waste. The report, calculated based on the Regal Int'l Hotel Group's carbon accounting method, provides insights on the carbon emissions and environmental performance of the events and meetings, as well as feasible recommendations to help these institutions reduce carbon emissions in future activities and meetings.

Through low-carbon meetings and events carefully designed by the sustainable development professionals and chef team at the hotel, meeting and event organizing institutions can offset their carbon footprints. The group stated that by collaborating with carbon market platforms to provide carbon offsetting solutions, after completing the carbon offsetting, event and meeting organizing institutions will receive carbon credit cancellation certificates.
