Hainan Airlines Holding informed Caishenshe that it plans to open multiple international and regional passenger routes in the fourth quarter.
Hainan Airlines Holding released its third-quarter report for 2024 today, with revenue in the third quarter reaching 19.986 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.63%; net income was 2.809 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.60%. Revenue for the first three quarters was 51.729 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.68%; net income was 2.173 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 145.43%.
Hainan Airlines Holding stated that the main reason was the recovery of the aviation market, seizing market opportunities, expanding capacity deployment, continuously improving the route network, strengthening refined management, improving quality and efficiency, and resulting in an increase in business volume.
According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the transportation scale in the aviation industry in the third quarter reached a historic high, with passenger transport volume reaching 0.2 billion person-times. According to the monthly operational briefing disclosed by Hainan Airlines Holding, from July to September this year, the revenue passenger kilometers, passenger transport volume, and passenger capacity input (based on available passenger kilometers) have all shown significant improvements compared to the same period last year.
The civil aviation market continued to heat up in 2024. Data provided by Hangju shows that as of October 30th, the domestic and international flight ticket bookings for November exceeded 12.6 million and 4.32 million respectively, representing a year-on-year growth of about 33% and 72%.
Reporters from Caishenshe learned from Hainan Airlines Holding that as of now, Hainan Airlines under its umbrella, including Hainan Airlines, operates a total of more than 500 domestic routes covering over 80 cities in China. Hainan Airlines has resumed, opened new, and planned to operate more than 50 international and regional passenger routes departing from and arriving in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Haikou, Chongqing, Xi'an, Changsha, Taiyuan, Dalian, and Guangzhou. In November and December, they plan to open new routes such as Haikou to Dubai, Shenzhen to Madrid, Chengdu Tianfu to Vienna, Xi'an to Vladivostok, to further meet the demand of passengers in the international market.
