①The company has started delivering multiple T/R component products to customers, and multiple RF integrated circuits have been used in 5.5G sensing-integrated base stations; ② In the mobile terminal field, its switch, antenna tuner products have been mass-produced, multiple RF switches have been introduced and delivered in bulk by customers, and DiFEM related chips have been mass-produced and delivered.
"Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" news on October 30th (Reporter Qiu Siyu) On the evening of October 29th, Guobo Electronics released its third quarter performance announcement.
In the first three quarters of 2024, the company's revenue was approximately 1.814 billion yuan, a decrease of 35.83% year-on-year; the net income attributable to the parent company was approximately 0.306 billion yuan, a decrease of 31.93% year-on-year.
Looking at the third quarter alone, the company achieved a revenue of 0.511 billion yuan, a decrease of 43.51% year-on-year; the net income attributable to the parent company was 61.8533 million yuan, a decrease of 56.28% year-on-year.
Regarding the decline in revenue and net income, Guobo Electronics explained that it was mainly due to the decrease in revenue from the T/R component and RF module business.
Guobo Electronics is mainly engaged in the research, production, and sales of active phased array T/R components and RF integrated circuit products, including active phased array T/R components, gallium arsenide base station RF integrated circuits, covering military and civilian fields. Active phased array T/R components are mainly used in precision guidance and radar detection fields, while gallium arsenide base station RF integrated circuits are mainly used in the mobile communication base station field, gradually expanding into mobile communication terminals and wireless LAN fields.
T/R components are one of the cores of low-orbit satellite payload platforms, with a relatively high value contribution in satellite payloads. Guobo Electronics stated that, in terms of components, the company has conducted technical research and product development in both low-orbit satellites and commercial aerospace fields, with multiple T/R component products already delivered to customers.
In the field of base stations, after the peak of 5G investment, base station investment has slowed down, leading to a decline in demand for radio frequency integrated circuits and GaN RF modules by base station equipment manufacturers. However, in recent years, as the commercial deployment of 5G networks continues to advance, and the commercial landing of 5.5G all-sense base stations, the demand for RF devices may increase significantly.
It is reported that the company has released multiple new products for GaN RF modules, with new technologies focusing on improving product linearity, efficiency, and other performance aspects. In addition, multiple RF integrated circuits have been applied to 5.5G all-sense base stations.
In the mobile terminal field, the company has achieved mass production of switches and antenna tuner products. Several RF switches have been introduced to customers and delivered in batches, with DiFEM-related chip mass production and delivery. In addition, it has developed RF amplification chip products such as mobile PA and LNA, and is also conducting R&D on new products based on new semiconductor processes.
Guobo Electronics also revealed that the industrialization project of RF chips and components is expected to be in a usable state by March 2025.
