On August 23, Sony launched the online shooting game 'Concord' ('Star Chant Special Attack') developed for 8 years, but after two weeks of poor reviews, it was taken down in droves. Sony announced on Tuesday the closure of 'Concord' studio Firewalk Studios.
Hermen Hulst, CEO of PlayStation Studios Business Group, stated that Firewalk Studios will be closed along with mobile game studio Neon Koi, mentioning that Concord did not meet Sony's goals. They plan to learn from the Concord experience, enhance real-time service capabilities, and strive for future growth in the field.
He mentioned that they spent a considerable amount of time in the past few months exploring all options, but after careful consideration, they concluded that the best solution is to permanently terminate the game and close the studio.
